On the first floor, you’ll find a pizza and prosecco bar, while the top deck features an open air terrace and views of Edinburgh Castle. It’s a very lively place, better to go for drinks rather than a full meal.

Be part of a fun-filled Scottish Ceilidh (pronounced kaylee). The band starts at 9.30pm, £7 entry, need to get on Guest List. Or reserve a place for the whole ceilidh package: a welcome drink, a three course meal and all the reels and entertainment for £35 pp.

A makar is a term from Scottish literature for a poet or bard. Great place, close to the Writer’s Museum. This restaurant serves comfort food at its finest. Great vegetarian choices too. I highly recommend a drink they serve which is Edinburgh Gin flavoured with Scottish raspberries and Prosecco.
There are two locations, my favourite is at 9 North Bank Street, close to the Writer's Museum. There is another location at 91 Shandwick Place, just west of Princes Street.
