Right across the street from the apartment, you’ll find a café that serves Nordic food all day. They sometimes have concerts in the evening. It’s also a very good place for breakfast (they open at 10 am).

Located in the up-and-coming area Refshaleøen, you will find a very cool and hip artisan bakery with sourdough bread and lovely filled donuts. They also serve lunch etc. It’s a 20-minute bike ride to get there, but it’s nice, and you’ll pass Noma (best restaurant in the world – literally) on the way there. Also check out cute café La Banchina, while you’re in the area.

Around the corner is Istedgade. While being rather dodgy in the end towards Central Station, it is very nice the other way. Check out clothing stores Donn Ya Doll, Rude and Kyoto, interior store Dansk Shop and greengrocer Løs Market that is completely packaging-free. There is also a big playground called Skydebanehaven for the kids (between Istedgade 68 and 80).
