Place to See and Things to Do

We are so lucky to live in a beautiful city that has many local attractions, and are excited to share some of our favorites with you! We are even more lucky to live within short driving distance to some amazing places like Vancouver and Harrison Hot Springs. We hope that these attractions will help you make your decision to say here easier.
Perhaps Mission’s most famous landmark, this beautiful monastery attracts thousands of visitors annually. The Benedictine monks who inhabit the Abbey have created a self-sufficient pastoral lifestyle at this inspiring location, and welcome visitors to their grounds and for services. Its most distinctive feature is the abbey church and its tower with a ring of 10 bells (which you just may hear). The views from the Abbey seem to stretch forever, providing a panoramic view of the Fraser Valley. Westminster Abbey is about a 180 metre elevation above the Fraser River. If one is looking for a challenge, you can reach the monastery via the Hail Mary trail, which is the first trail off Heritage Park East Greenway entrance.

There are two options to explore the tunnels. The first is to simply head straight from the parking lot, through the tunnels, and back. This is a short, 3.5 km hike and the best option if you’re limited on time or with small children. The other option is to go for a proper hike along the Hope-Nicola Valley Trail. Cascade Falls is a scenic waterfall which plummets 30 metres into an emerald pool. It is located in Cascade Falls Regional Park in Mission, B.C. only 25 minutes from our suite It is more of a short walk than a ‘hike’ to the viewing platform. But, Cascade Falls is still worth the drive out to see the falls and the surrounding lush forest. A 300 metre walk and some stairs are all it takes to reach the gorgeous falls. At the top of the trail, there is a suspension bridge which takes visitors to a close-up viewing platform of the falls. Cascade Falls is a great off-season hike and one that is perfect for the full family. Save it for a lazy, overcast Sunday when you want to get outside but don’t feel like an epic day-hike.

This 9 Hole Mission Golf course combines a demanding layout, attractive landscaping and thickly forested terrain, to provide a truly challenging golf experience. Your round starts with two par 5’s, followed by our popular 116 yard, par 3-signature hole. Here your tee shot demands accuracy and enough club for your ball to carry over a deep gorge and come to rest on a green that is protected by four bunkers. Your round will finish with an uphill par 5 that requires you to hit your approach shot close to the flag, as this green is 42 yards deep. 7983 Nelson Street, Mission, BC V2V 4J4 missiongolfclub.com
