BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn! puts on free concerts (and paid concerts) in the summer, check out their schedule by searching online to see great shows outdoors!
Beautiful garden with year-round interest. Late April has the famous cherry blossom festival (Sakura Festival), the rose garden peaks in July/August, the Japanese pond is gorgeous year-round. There is an indoor desert exhibit for wintertime months.

These gardens are best accessible via car. There is a cover fee but it is a beautiful intimate garden. Nice if you are driving through or going to the Bronx for other activities.
