Things to do in NYC

A local's perspective on things to do in NYC.
Yankee Stadium is the best place to go to get a vibe on the New York spirit. Take some friends, grab a drink, and enjoy America's pastime with the iconic New York Yankees. Only go for a ballgame. No need for expensive seats if you just want to go for the experience. It's easy to walk around the concourses of the stadium. If you're looking for a good view of the action, you may wish to spend a little more for better seats. Insider Tip: Long lines start to form outside the gates before the games, so plan for this. There are also a bunch of other entrance gates around the stadium if you walk around the side of the stadium. Most people will try to enter right near the subway entrances, which contributes to longer lines at those gates.

Iconic comedy show venue in Greenwich village that has hosted famous comedians such as Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Aziz Ansari, and others. This is your best bet venue for a random cameo from a celebrity comedian. However, you must book your reservation online days in advance for a prime-time showing on the weekends as spaces book out well before the evening of a show. Additionally, there may be long lines forming up to 20-30 minutes before a show as people vie for a better seating in the tight, intimate space. Comedy Cellar has sister shows at Village Underground in the village as well, which offers reservations on their website as well. Shows are just as funny and venue is a little larger. Of course, if any celeb wants to do a 'drop-in,' odds are that they'd stop by Comedy Cellar.
