Favourite Tea/Coffee Shops
Shirley and West Wickham are full of cafes the nearest being just a short walk away.
Small and cosy with great cakes (including gluten fr), salads and soups. They also do a big bowl of fantastic porridge and their coffee is superb.

It's quite big and delightfully curious retro decor. Very friendly staff, good selection of tea and coffee. They offer a range of breakfasts which I highly recommend.

Nearby Parks and Woods
Shirley is very green and rural and has some pleasant woods across the road, and a larger one which leads on to open fields a couple of minutes along the road.
There are a number of parks close by, not walking distance, but a short bus or car ride away.
