Perfect spot for whale watching (in season). Take the scenic walk along the boardwalk, look for young penguins in their little wooden hutches waiting for Mum and Dad to get home from fishing all day with some dinner. Follow the boardwalk around to the famous blowhole.

Located on the beach in San Remo, The Westernport means something different to everyone and offers something different every time you visit. Sort of like wearing a new pair of socks with your favourite, old pair of boots; it’s comfy and familiar but just a little bit different. But at The Westernport there is one thing that always stays the same, as reliable as salt in the sea air and sand between your toes, and that’s the feeling you’ll take away with you after a night with us. http://www.thewesternport.com.au/

Everything Else

We are located on a small peninsula on Phillip Island, overlooking the Bay of Western Port with beautiful views of Swan Inlet, Churchill Island and Denne Bight. Purple Hen began in 2001 when Rick Lacey and Maira Vitols purchased the property - 32 hectares of prime grazing land. Planting of vines began in January 2002 with the first vintage in 2004. An on-site winery was established in 2005 and the Cellar Door opened at Easter 2006. In the ensuing years we have expanded the vineyard to its current 7.5 hecatres and established an enviable record for producing elegant and strongly varietal wines – winning over 100 Medals and 20 Trophies at wine shows in Aust. http://www.purplehenwines.com.au/
