This is one of my favourite restaurants in the Philippines. It's pricy but if you're looking to impress, the food is authentically Japanese and of a very high standard. The owner is often seen front of house.

Coffee Project is walking distance from our property and has a great view of the surrounding area. They just opened and the shop looks fresh. There are other small establishments in the area, including an average Chinese restaurant, barber shop and convenience store. Also holds the closest ATM.

Tapa King is a weirder one to recommend -- location wise, it's adjacent a lot of important shops, such as Shopwise, LBC, National Bookstore, numerous banks, and more.

All you can eat Pork and Beef Korean grill. Admittedly, I haven't been here for a while -- got incredibly sick, presumably for undercooking the meats here, but the value is insane and you can have a feast for two under 1K PHP. Check out the gelato place across the road for dessert.

Ramen Kuroda
Upper McKinley HillQuite good mid-range Japanese ramen. The broth is authentic.
Haven't been here in awhile. It's typical European cuisine. The ambiance is above average, and so is the service. Food is mid-range. Not the best value, but not bad, either.

Shopwise is your run of the mill supermarket. You can get your ingredients here, as well as knock off any errands you might have in the area. Santana Grove, the area that Shopwise is located in, is host to dozens of other establishments in high concentration, so it's not a bad place to plan around.

Santana Grove, the area that Shopwise is located in, is host to dozens of other establishments in high concentration, so it's not a bad place to plan around.
Ayala owned and iconic for people from the South, ATC is a very concentrated section of shops. Food selection is above average and public transportation can take you further South to Cavite. The cinemas are fair.

Getting Around
Rail isn't the most preferred form of transportation, but for value conscious individuals, the tracks extend pretty far North, and it is a way to get past traffic. Waiting times are reportedly long.

You can get jeeps up and down the service roads here. Call a tricycle to the house at 8370308 for 25 pesos and tell them to bring you to the buses to go North or South. A bus to, say, Cubao, will cost you 50ish with aircon. There are jeeps going Westerly, along Sucat Rd aka Dr. A Santos, which will take you to where most of the action is.

Mulligan's is a mainstay for BF locals. You'll often see lone expatriates having a beer at the bar and maybe tuning in to some sports on the TV. The waitresses are dressed up like referees. The food is fair and the drink selection is above average. There are 3 Mulligan's locations in BF.

As a local of this area I don't nearly go to 19 East enough. It's pretty well known to musicheads for their great sound system. The view is great, and most importantly, it's in really close proximity to the house. Live music from fairly known local bands.

You'd be surprised how many times I've had to go here. From pots falling on feet, to people jumping off the balcony, and rogue cats attacking... You're going to want to know where the nearest ER is.
