Stunning Thai Buddhist temple high up in the Mountain side overlooking the Airport and City. Simply breathtaking, allow at least a half day trip if you are planning to visit. You will be please you did.
Doi Suthep is a 20 minute car ride from the house. Allow 30 minutes in traffic.

An excellent day out, the aquarium and Pandas are particularly popular so suggest to get there quite early.
The Zoo is near to Doi Suthep which is 20 minutes by car from the house.

Located in the Old City this is a peaceful location and of significant importance to the local buddhist community which in Thailand is the vast majority all of the local Thai population.
When visiting a temple shorts should not be worn inside the temple buildings, shoes removed also. It's fine to take pictures.
Nearby in the old City there are plenty of little restaurants serving local cuisine, coffee shops, guest houses and shops. It has a nice relaxed feel there. There is usually a bit of traffic as the roads are narrower but nothing moves too quickly. Be surprised how quickly lunch time seems to come around :)

Good size and popular local market, excellent for fresh fruit and vegetables. There is also a medium size branch of Tesco opposite and next to the market a basic but clean food court for a budget price and tasty lunch.
Bosang is a 5 minute drive by motorcycle or car from the house.

Sightseeing
A really lovely and peaceful setting where you can experience foot massages, a hot spring water bath in a wooden bathtub or just relax in the gardens surrounding the Hot Springs themselves. From the house and Sankhampheng it's a comfortable drive by motorbike, car or to feel like a local a longer ride in a "songthaew" taxi. Takes longer but if you aren't in a rush, why not.
I like to use the songthaew sometimes to go to the City it's fun and you get to chat to local folks who are usually pleased to meet you.
