Or sit under the heaters with a hot coffee and grub in the winter and over-look the pool through the palm trees admiring the nutters who take a dip in their speedos in sub 15 degree waters!

Amazing modern art gallery and completely free (apart from ticketed exhibitions). Just take the train from Herne Hill to Blackfriars in 15 minutes and walk over the River Thames via the famous Millennium Bridge.
