Nohting better than cooling off on a warm summers day, or watching natures force as the snowmelt of the mountain turns the beautiful Delatite into a torrent. A perfect waterhole can be found at the end of warrmabt Rd, only a short 200m walk away.

In winter, the place to be for fresh tracks. In summer, a wonderful spot for a quick wander, and to watch the sun kiss the mountains goodbye at the end of a long day. Beautiful aspects from every angle. Take a camera.

The quieter sister of Mt Buller, but no less beautiful, or active. Fantastic off piste skiing in winter, and some of the worlds best hiking, horse riding and biking trails in summer. Not to be missed. A great cafe can be found at Telephone Box Junction, and the huts up on the hill are worth a visit.

Howqua Gap TrailThe quieter sister of Mt Buller, but no less beautiful, or active. Fantastic off piste skiing in winter, and some of the worlds best hiking, horse riding and biking trails in summer. Not to be missed. A great cafe can be found at Telephone Box Junction, and the huts up on the hill are worth a visit.

Mansfield is the closest base for supplies to Sylvan Rise. You'll want for nothing here. Interesting outdoor storess, antiques, cafe's and clothes stores all mingle in a perfect, clean setting. 2 pubs will quench a thirst.

One of our favourite walks. The short drive down howqua track, folllowed by Strenuous walk (slog!) up Timbertop will be worth it - trust us. As you round the nose, and scramble the last few hundred metres, the valleys open up on all sides, leaving you with an uninterrupted view of all the High Country has to offer. Not to be missed - extra special at Sunrise

A scenic 40m drive form Sylvan Rise, historic Fry's hut and sheepyard flat area's are worth a drive. A great swimming hole can be found 150m left of the hut, as the river bends.

During winter, Koflers is the place to be. Drop your ski's at the front (dont' forget where you left them - i did once!), rock in, grab a beer and some nachos. Then go back skiing!
