Food scene
The sit down restaurants in Tilghman have great views but I really recommend eating in St. Michaels or at the Country Store.
Dining on the island is mediocre or expensive.
This is not a recommendation but more information sharing. The food is good and the view is very nice. They are only open seasonally and when they are open they are sold out of foods they offer.

Local fare. Food is decent, service is spotty but a great view. Within walking distance to the cottage if you wanted to grab a drink but not drive.

I love this place. We eat here like once a week. It is carryout only but the food is good and there are always weekly specials and have great baked goods. Get some of their chocolate chip cookies. If you are around on a Thursday call for the eggroll special they have a different flavor each week. Great people Oh and there are wine tastings on Fridays!

If you plan to bike
Tilghman is a country road and on the island there are places with little to no shoulder. Also, when riding on rt. 33 (the main road leading to Tilghman) there can be some serious headwinds and crosswinds

Check business hours and go early
Businesses here are truly on island time. I highly recommend checking business hours online, calling to check hours, and going 15 minutes early.
Example: The gas station/ convenience store is great but even though they say they close at 8pm sometimes they close randomly at 7:45m
