With only a 3 minute walk from my house, Wat Tramit Temple is famous for the story of the golden buddha which sits in lotus position inside the temple. fascinating story of discovery and one of the most revered temples in Bangkok.

Tep Bar is super conveniently located from my house .. only 10 metre walk. Famous for its local authentic traditional music tempered with a great menu and local servings of drinks. Try the Yadong, a very local herb drink, but be careful its potent :)

Fantastic cocktails, delicious cuisine and its super cool atmosphere makes this an all around winner. I also heard from one of the owners that there is a private dining room on the second floor. Go there hungry and thirsty!
New to the local foodie scene, Jua had its soft opening in August 2017 and its grand opening in November 2017. Enjoy whisky highballs, awesome yakitori and selected nihonshu from top producers Bijofu, Masumi, Kirinzan, Kozaeman and Tedorigawa brought by Chef Chet Adkins

If you’re bold enough, go for the rice noodles and pig’s brain mousse (fatty, crumbly, spongy and a not-too-pricey B220), or the addictive fried tripe in fish sauce (B180). The beautifully rich tom kee lek hang wua (ox tail braised in herb stock and cassia leaves, B290) comes with a salsa-like bolo maka fruit salad on the side. For those who can’t bring themselves to eat entrails, try the grilled ox tongue (B390) served with a chili paste made from momordica, the even more bitter cousin to bitter gourd (nicerthan it sounds). The steamed rice (B25), made from a blend of rice kernels from Surin province, is also some of the most floral we’ve ever tasted.
