This is walking distance from the house and it is easy to have Margarita's on Margarita Wednesdays so to walk is a good strategy. Taco Tuesdays you can get a very affordable meal. It does require ordering a coffee or a normal beverage.

Parks & Nature
A 10-12 minute drive to the foot of Mt. Wilson Trail. Head east on Sycamore. Make a left on Michillinda and head north. At some point (1/2 mile or so) perhaps take a right on Foothill Blvd or else go up Michillinda a bit further and make right at Sierra Madre Blvd., and travel east a few blocks to Baldwin Avenue. At Baldwin take a left turn (again direction the mountain) and at pass Sierra Madre's center on the way. The trail will become obvious. You park your car and give it a try. Take a rucksack lunch and water. Wear a hat the sun can get intense. This year is special because you will have the chance to pass and even dip in several of the water ponds that draught had precluded.
