This restaurant is about 5-10 minutes away from LPVH. It’s located inside the Wahweap marina is a great little restaurant and bar overlooking Lake Powell. There is also another restaurant called the Rainbow Room and a little coffee shop in the same area. The real good spot is the floating restaurant on the Wahweap marina called Latitude 37- You are literally eating on a floating dock. The upstairs outdoor lounge has misters and nice seating and views of Lake Powell and surrounding houseboats. (Closest restaurant to LPVH) Might be closed during the off season.

Lone Rock Beach is beautiful and still part of the Glen Canyon Recreation. This sandstone rock formation stands all by itself out in the middle of the lake. The surrounding canyon walls are breathtaking. The beach stretches for miles and great for swimming, hiking, off-road vehicles, camping, bonfires, water sports or just relaxing. It's best to park at the paved parking lot up at top so you don't get your vehicle stuck in the sand.

Lone Rock Beach
Lone Rock Beach is beautiful and still part of the Glen Canyon Recreation. This sandstone rock formation stands all by itself out in the middle of the lake. The surrounding canyon walls are breathtaking. The beach stretches for miles and great for swimming, hiking, off-road vehicles, camping, bonfires, water sports or just relaxing. It's best to park at the paved parking lot up at top so you don't get your vehicle stuck in the sand.
Glen Canyon Dam is a sight to see and one you can't miss especially if you drive over the bridge overlooking it. It is one of the largest dam's in the world which made what is now Lake Powell. It is also the starting point of the Colorado River. The visitor center does daily tours of the Dam and has a great information center a lot like a little museum and gift shop. If it's about to pour down rain don't leave. Wait for it to pass to see some great waterfalls.

It is also the starting point of the Colorado River. The visitor center does daily tours of the Dam and has a great information center a lot like a little museum and gift shop. If it's about to pour down rain don't leave. Wait for it to pass to see some great waterfalls.

The Paria river is pretty for hiking. An even better spot is the Paria Rimrock Toadstool Trail. This is a 20 minute drive north on Highway 89 from Greenehaven. It is located on the right hand side after the big curve in the road where all the colorful rocks are. It's easy to miss the dirt road/parking lot off to the right where the trail head starts between mile marker 19 & 20. So if you get to the Paria river you have gone to far. It's an easy one mile hike to these beautiful geological rock formations. Again take water and your camera as you won't want to miss these crazy looking rocks. The BLM visitors center in Big Water is on the way so you can always ask them for assistance.

You want to stay plenty of distance from the edge. They have left it natural for people to enjoy looking down at the bend in the Colorado River. It's breathtaking and amazing and also a bit scary for someone that may be afraid of heights. Make sure to always take plenty of water with you to stay dehydrated in the desert.
