Beach
“Home of the whitest and purest sand in Florida. Very large attraction and a great place to go lay in the sun at the beach. Have fun getting the sand off you! It's a very fine sand, so comfy to walk on, but just tends to stick more. Local Tip: Off of Siesta Drive is a road called "Shell Road" Get there early or get lucky getting a spot on the street, very minimal parking. But the beach is small but you see tons of Yachts and boats come by and have a direct view of South Lido Beach. ”

Parke
“Located at the southern end of St Pete, where the Gulf of Mexico meets Tampa Bay, this State Park once housed Fort DeSoto. There are still some remains of the original park, but now it offer recreational activities like swimming, canoeing, kayaking, camping as well as good ole R&R. This linear sandy park also offers the best "selfie photo moment" of the Skyway Bridge”

“The island. Only about 15 minutes/8 miles west with two large public beaches with white, powdery sands. The island also has many unique shops, restaurants and night life with local entertainment. Historic Bridge Street is a must-see at night. And try Skinny's across from Manatee beach for a cheeseburger in paradise. ”

“O’Leary’s is downtown (near Marina Jack’s) and is a great place to dig your toes in the sand, look out onto Sarasota Bay, and enjoy some live music on the weekends. They usually have reggae or island type music. They also serve food, but I recommend more for a quick bite than your main meal. ”
