“The Infinity Pool. Boasting breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean coast, it's a restaurant and bar with an Infinity pool that overlooks Malpais and Playa Carmen. The views are stunning, enjoy them while you take a dip in the pool, enjoy a wonderful sunset dinner or just have a few beers at the bar. BONUS! The restaurant is located only 200m away from Casa Pina, ”

“This place has amazing food. The locally caught fish is excellent. Dinner is a beautiful experience! The chocolate cake is our favorite and the slices are way more than enough for two. This place makes amazing smoothies that you just have to try!”

Natural Feature
“A fishing trip can be arranged out of the Marina in Mal Pais/Santa Teresa. Our favorite guide is Javier, who is friendly and professional and usually knows where the fish are biting that day. Even if the fishing isn't great, the scenery is beautiful and Javier pointed out whales one day as well as sea turtles swimming nearby. And the view of the coastline and Cabo Blanco is spectacular from the water.”

Locality
“The Pescaderia. The local fisherman wharf is hidden at the very end of Malpais. It's well worth the detour to observe the fishing boats and local fishermen crafting their art, whether you decide to book a sport fishing tour, buy some fresh fish to cook on our outdoor grill or simply sit back and enjoy the view, it's a must-visit! BONUS! Walk around the bend to discover an abandoned hotel and small bay beach mostly known to locals.”

Pagkain
“If you are in Cabuya and like craft beer, make sure to check out this cool place. They have several beers on tap and serve homemade tapas. If you want to buy gifts for friends back home, get one of their unique beer soaps and shampoo bars. They are 100% natural and are made from coconut oil and essential oils. I make them myself, so this is a little self-advertising :)”
