This explanation may help since Honua Kai can be confusing. So Honua Kai is 628 individually owned condominiums that belong to a Homeowners Association. It's not a hotel. Every owner chooses to either use the onsite management which is now Outrigger or they choose an outside rental company (ORC). Outrigger is not the Resort they're just the onsite rental managment company. Now they own the front desk area and some other areas at Honua Kai, (meaning the HOA did not choose them and cannot remove them). All guests have access to the pools, restaurant, stores, Spa, fitness center and concierge.

No Self-Parking/Resort/Occupancy Fee applies to 2021. 2022 is subject to change.


1) There will be a $5/day valet parking fee imposed by the HOA on all guests.

2) There will no longer be a phone in the unit. In looking at the phone bills guests just are not using it and now we're starting to get robocalls/telemarketers calling in.

This studio is located in the inner courtyard of the Hokulani Building. It over looks the Hokulani pool and the tiki torches. It's 595 sq ft with a 100 sq ft lanai. The view is incredible. Look at the pictures. Imagine that view with the complimentary bottle of champagne and the Maui chocolate covered macadamia nuts we provide. We also put a new king size bed this Spring 2019.

If you are looking for multiple units on the same floor we also have a studio available which is down the hallway.

WE NEVER ASK YOU TO CLEAN, DO LAUNDRY OR DO THE DISHES. YOU ARE OUR GUESTS AND WILL BE TREATED AS SUCH. UPON DEPARTURE YOU LEAVE YOUR KEYS ON THE COUNTER AND GO.

-The unit does not have a phone in it. Too many robocalls and telemarketing calls.
-No worrying about when the maid service is going to interrupt your day since we don't offer housekeeping.
-We personally see that this unit is cleaned to our high standards.
-Use of swimming pool, exercise room, and concierge service. We also provide beach chairs, towels, boogie boards, paper products and binoculars.
-The Staff at Honua Kai Condominiums will treat you like you're sitting in the first class cabin.
-Charge all resort costs on your credit card.
-Our Aloha Welcome Package which includes a bag of coffee, Chilled Champagne, Hawaiian Chocolates, Tommy Bahama Shampoo and Soaps, beach towels, beach chairs, and binoculars.
-Either the bellman or I will greet you at the bell desk and escort you to the unit.
-We live 5 minutes from the resort and we are on property just about everyday. We take your stay personally, so anything that comes up, we will be there. You don't have to wait for this guy to call that guy who can't be there til Tuesday. If you know Maui you know what I mean. We want you happy and we want you back!
-We are fortunate to 'Live Aloha' everyday and our goal is for our guests to 'Live Aloha' while they are our guests. Whether it's just another trip to Maui or the only trip you'll ever take to Maui, our mission is to make it special.

We've been renting units at Honua Kai since 2009 when it first opened. We own one unit and manage another 10 units all at Honua Kai. Our company is Kai Malina Properties, LLC. We do everything ourselves except that we have awesome cleaner. We've lived in Maui since 2005 and we moved from San Ramon, CA. We have 3 kids 11, 13 and 15 year old.
