Welcome to 269 Driftwood Lane - Unit #4 is nestled within a quiet residential section at the southern end of the island. This is truly classic old Florida in a cozy 4-unit canal-front enclave.

This canal-front property is located at the quiet southern residential end of Estero Island and is just a short distance from a public marina, golf course, and numerous restaurants. Just a 2 block walk to the public beach access at Flamingo Street. Beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers and beach carts are provided for your use. They are stored in the storage room with the laundry facilities. The island has numerous restaurantsand water activities. There is parasailing, Jet Ski rentals and fishing charters to name a few. Your stay at 269 Driftwood Lane will definitely provide the potential for an unforgettable beach getaway!

The property sits on a double lot with one full lot of space to enjoy. Lounge outside in the big yard or sit out on the dock watching birds, fish and dolphins play in the bay. This is a Fisherman's Dream with 140 feet of canal, one house from the bay. Bring your boat and tie up to the dock and park your trailer in the secluded side yard, or bring your kayaks and launch from the dock.

Unit #4 is 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, on the second floor via stairs. An outdoor covered balcony is to the left of the entrance with a sun deck facing the canal and bay. Stepping inside we first encounter the kitchen to the right and dining area to the left. The spacious updated kitchen with wood flooring, tray ceiling with recessed lighting, is fully equipped with Corian countertops with tile backsplash, dishwasher, range, microwave, and side by side refrigerator/freezer with ice maker. The adjacent dining area looks out to the canal and bay, and has a table seating 6.

Off the kitchen and dining area is the bright, spacious, and well-furnished living room, equipped with a wall mounted 55 inch flat screen TV. There is a leather sofa, love seat and a wicker rocking chair most excellent for viewing a movie or game. Off the living room also canal and bay front is a viewing room with bar height table and bar stools for enjoying bay views with your favorite drink.

Also, off the living room through French doors is a guest bedroom with bunk beds, chest of drawers, and kid's table.

Down the hall from the living room, first on the left is a bathroom with shower/tub combination.

Further down on the left is a guest room with queen size bed, night stand, dresser, and walk-in closet.

On the right side of the hall is the master bedroom with king-size bed, night stands, triple dresser, chest of drawers, and walk-in closet. The en-suite bath has tub/shower combination.

Laundry facilities are available in the storage room on the ground floor level between Units 1 and 3.

Code of Conduct: Sec. 34-2393. - Code of conduct for short-term rentals. (a) The town hereby establishes a code of conduct that applies to operators and guests of all shortterm rental units, including those on the registry of pre-existing weekly rentals and also those rentals between one week and one month that are permitted by right in accordance with Table 34-2. The code of conduct is as follows: (1) Maximum occupancy: Occupancy of each short-term rental unit must be consistent with the definition of "family" that is found in § 34-2 of this code, which defines a family as one or more persons occupying a dwelling unit and living as a single, nonprofit housekeeping unit, provided that a group of five or more adults who are not related by blood, marriage, or adoption shall not be deemed to constitute a family. (2) Refuse collection: Refuse containers shall not be moved to the street more than 24 hours prior to scheduled curbside collections nor remain there more than 24 hours after scheduled collections, as required by § 6-11 of the Fort Myers Beach land development code. In addition, if a property owner or property manager is unable to comply with this requirement around the weekly pick-up day, arrangements for additional refuse collection must be secured by the operator. (3) Quiet hours: Between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., all guests shall observe quiet hours. This means all outdoor activity, including swimming, shall be kept to a reasonable noise level that is non-intrusive and respectful of neighbors. Town of Fort Myers Beach Ordinance No. 96-24 sets limits on noise levels during quiet hours and these levels must be obeyed by all guests. (4) Mandatory evacuations: All guests staying in short-term rental units must comply with mandatory evacuations due to hurricanes and tropical storms, as required by state and local laws. (b) Operators are required to provide guests with the town's code of conduct for short-term rentals. (1) The town shall provide operators with a printed version of the code of conduct and a standardized agreement for compliance. (2) The operator shall provide guests of short-term rental units with the code of conduct and obtain the signature of guests on the agreement indicating that they are aware of and intend to comply with the code of conduct. (3) The code of conduct shall also be posted at the primary entrance/exit to each short-term rental unit. (c) Operators must provide the town with a current local telephone number of a contact for each shortterm rental unit. This telephone number must be answered 24 hours a day to respond to complaints. These telephone numbers are public records and will be available at town hall during normal business hours.
