Best Fishing, Golf & Family Fun in the Ozarks! Custom home on the prime spot of the South Fork of the Spring River, right across from the pro shop, tennis courts and 1st, 10th & 18th holes of a championship golf course. With your own lo-chlorine private pool!

3 acres of seclusion, with no neighbors around, for quiet peace & relaxation.

Ang tuluyan
3 Acre Private Utopia on S Fork of sparkling Spring River with pool. Great fishing, golf, canoeing, floating, peaceful nature aplenty. EZ walk across bridge to pro shop, tennis courts, holes 1 10 & 18 of champion golf course & Raccoon Springs.

This executive retreat is surrounded in privacy & simple luxury amid Nature's beauty.
The private pool is lo chlorine / saline so its gentle on your hair, skin and eyes. This spot on the river is a best-kept secret with fishermen. The South Fork is quiet - yet links into more challenging adventures and swim spots on Spring River - you can float or canoe for hours downriver.
The golf course is private, so guests can get right on the 1st or 9th tees, usually without reservations. Just walk across the bridge to get to the pro shop (right next to the tennis courts & practice range) grab your cart & ride! Or stroll the course walking paths to pretty Raccoon Springs.

Views are spectacular & peaceful from rooms, decks & 3-sided open-air porch. You can hear birds chirping, watch turtles, & chuckle at golfers trying to hit across river to your elevated 10th green, while you're tucked high in the trees.
The 4,000 sf home was designed retreat style, with lots of natural stone & wood. Plenty of room to play, sleep & entertain.
One tv in the large master bedroom, which also has a couch for your kids or friends to flop on & watch with you -- and another 50" tv in the rec room, a third in living room.
The kitchen features a JennAire gas grill-top built-in that grills the best steaks, fish, chicken & veggies. The kitchen is just a few steps from the decks and huge screened-in porch.
Charcoal BBQ with comfy couch seating & dining area under deck.
Amazing to find such a sweet retreat in this part of the Ozarks!

Saan ka pupunta

Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Estados Unidos

Cherokee Village is a recreational town just across the Missouri border in the Ozark foothills. It was John Cooper's first master-planned community for retirement and recreation, and became a model for future developers. Taking advantage of the most dependable water source in the state, and the force of over 9 million gallons/hr pumped from Mammoth Springs, the headwaters for the mighty Spring River, seven private lakes were created. Our guests can rent boats at Lake Thunderbird only a mile away.

The Spring River is the region's most dependable year-round sparkling river, famous for rainbow and brown trout, bass and seasonal walleye. According to state resources, "Clear water, overhanging trees, and occasional wildlife make the Spring a scenic float. The very construction of the river itself (a stair-step series of ledges and pools) makes it one of the most interesting and appealing in the state."

The South Fork is particularly scenic, calmer and considered "canoeable" for much of the year. Our guests can canoe, or float directly from our backyard ramp. You can head to the beach in downtown Cherokee Village, or a bit further to the bridge at the Cherokee Village Campground. If your feeling more adventurous, a six-mile trip from this bridge down to Hardy Beach is also possible.

There are two championship golf courses in the village. Both are considered "private" for use of owners and their guests, which ensures easy availability of tee times, without reservations when leagues are not in play. Call or chat with the friendly staff at the pro shops for tips about best days & times, and let them know you are our guests. Day Rates for guests are quite reasonable. They even have a bargain rate if you want to play both courses on the same day. Both courses are challenging, fun for golfers of all abilities. The North Course, with the South Fork of Spring River running through, is the more naturalized of the two, with extra challenges at the elevated greens.
Even if you are NOT a golfer, you may also wish to follow the example of a number of fans who enjoy strolling the course for fun and exercise, particularly the short walk to Raccoon Springs.

When exploring outside the village, according to guidebooks: "One attraction that should not be missed is Mammoth Spring State Park. In addition to viewing one of the largest springs in the country, visitors can hike, picnic, or even examine an exhibit of train memorabilia."
"Next door to the park is the Mammoth Spring National Fish Hatchery, the nation's leading producer of smallmouth bass (and also a source for largemouth and striped bass, walleye, channel catfish, and redband trout). Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the hatchery, and also view one of the nicest public aquariums in the region." The antique shops in Mammoth Spring are also worth visiting. We personally recommend the Spring Dipper on the highway for the best home-made ice-cream.
"Another place worth a closer inspection is Hardy, one of those towns that have managed to retain a good deal of their original character. Attractive old buildings are still in place, with many of them housing shops featuring antiques or local arts and crafts."

All in all, this area of the Spring River has managed to maintain good, old-fashioned charm along with its healthy respect for its greatest natural assets. For those who enjoy a simpler lifestyle, far away from "citified values" -- like golf, fishing, listening to birds, toads, and children's laughter, observing turtles and the occasional fly-fisherman, as well as golfers trying to make their shot over the river -- have we got a place for YOU!

Plenty of parking available on premises.
