Who can be an Airbnb Host?
It’s easy to become an Airbnb Host in most areas, and there’s no sign-up charges to create a listing. Entire apartments and homes, private rooms, tree houses and castles are just a few of the properties Hosts have shared on Airbnb.For more details on what’s expected of Hosts, check out Airbnb’s Community Standards, which revolve around safety, security, reliability and hospitality standards, which help Hosts earn great guest reviews.
How do I choose and set my prices?
The price you charge for your listing is up to you. To help you decide, you can search for comparable listings in your city or neighbourhood to get an idea of market prices.Airbnb’s Smart Pricing tool also lets you set your prices to automatically go up or down based on changes in demand for listings like yours.Additional FeesCleaning fee: you can either incorporate a cleaning fee into your nightly price, or you can add a cleaning fee in your pricing settings.Other fees: to charge extra fees outside of your rates (like a late check-in or pet fee), you must first disclose these potential charges to guests prior to booking and then use our Resolution Centre to securely request payment for additional fees.
How do I make sure my guests are safe on my farm?
You know your farm better than anyone and it’s important to make your guests aware of any potential safety hazards. You should clearly explain which parts of the farm are not open to guests and any other precautions they may need to take to stay safe and respect your farm during their stay. How much does it cost to list my space?
Signing up for Airbnb and listing your home is free. Once you receive a reservation, we charge an Airbnb service fee for Hosts, generally 3%, to help cover the cost of running the business.
What are the local rules for hosting?
We’ve put together a Responsible Hosting page to help Hosts on Airbnb become familiar with hosting responsibilities, and to provide a general overview of different laws, regulations and best practices that may affect Hosts.
